I like how the first post seems so organized. =) Um...I'm not sure if we're supposed to post links, but Debbiechan said that there were going to be fanfics, and I have a couple IshiHime fanfics...

Made the additions, Orihime-chan, and I'll be sifting through the recs. Hmmm, we have more members than I thought we would--perhaps I should alphabetize ^^.

That's funny. I like Ishida in just about every pairing. I just want the loner to get some love. Orihime would lighten anyone's life, and Ishida's certainly needs lighting!

Yes, the SS arc was where all the IshiHime action was--Ishida saved Orihime at least twice, held her in his arms once, gave her wistful looks quite often, and she--well--while worrying about Kurosaki-kun, she seemed to be getting along just swell with Ishida. I believe this was foreshadowing on Kubo-san's part.

Shounen manga are about boys finding themselves and growing up--usually through fights and adventures. Shoujo manga are about girls growing up the way women define themselves--through relationships. I believe that Kubo, with one eye on the modern shounen/shoujo form gave us a somewhat stereotypical shoujo "girl," Orihime. She has to grow up, learn how to value herself most of all but also to put others in perspective. At this point, she idolizes Kurosaki--probably for qualities she desires and needs in herself. And standing right behind her is someone she hasn't noticed yet (but hey, WE'VE noticed--and he's looking mighty fine in that new Quincy white outfit that matches well with Hime's new dress!)

Seriously, I could talk about this pair all day. I love GinRan and IchiRuki but IshiHime appeals to me because of its tenderness--those two were so sweet and understanding of each other in SS. They deserve to be together!

EDIT: oh Alaena, just keep suggesting fics in your posts--I'll organize them at some point. There's a surprising bit of IshiHime art and writing out there.

Grats on v2! I'm happy for you debbiechan, you really deserve ownership of this FC. You're the most dedicated IshiHime fan I've ever seen.

And I'll be lurking here for awesome IshiHime fanarts/fics. XD

Oooh! Version 2!! Yay, I'm excited. ^_^

I first got into Ishihime during the Soul Society arc, especially when Ishida protected her on the rooftop. And during the time Ishida and Orihime were together, you really got to see another side of Ishida's personality, which I liked a lot. The Bleach characters are so well-rounded it's incredible.
