Which aspect do you want to know if we agree or disagree with?.. I agree that it is a phase where a group attempts to go without alliances, and withdraws into itself for a period of time.. is it a good thing to do? I think it can be good and bad.. The question is do you agree or disagree with isolationism?..

well, the US as a country basically has a role with alliances and such. Mainly because the US has a very strong military. And the US is looked upon for help if any other country needs it. So its not possible for the US to be in isolation. The many other "smaller" countries can be in isolation because they lack the military to do so. Therefore.. for the US , Im against isolationism.

Isolationism is a horrid practice, but that does'n't mean we should go sticking our noses where they do'n't belong. You can keep to yourself and still not be isolationist. However, I do'n't really think that the US gets that. To the United States, it seems like Non-Isolationism = World Police Force. But you know, that's just my view...

Isolationism - well started by the british where you provide funds to a side :p aka WWI america funding briton & germany...

america loaning briton around 80times as much as germany...so they fought to get back their money :)

isolationism is bad because it wreaks havoc on your country economically, no country has the resources within thier territory to run an enitre country the closest is usa

japan did it and they ended up as a medevil culture during the rest of the worlds industrial age

china could and did do it....the european powers were suck dry of their coffers this being the 17-18 centuries ago and the UK had to sell opium to china to get money to buy tea...which resulted in china getting invaded...and sino-jap war

oh and the europeans were broke because they kept importing but china didn't want their goods or their money...aka silver coins so thats how they almost broke the bank :p

i think the world in general should be collapsed and formed a New World Order in which we will no longer have classes and will only follow the common goal of isolating ourselves from the rest of the universe.

dividing ourselves into class is part of human nature, it is impossible to have a classless society
