the bg nor the stock is mine so dont go thinking stuff, i use a lot of brushes and stocks from other talented peeps and then edit and use it on my own stuff ;P

That is techinically called stealing my friend, I would suggest you stop doing that before someone like sues you. Anyway it's alright, not that great. The bg *even though you didn't make it* could use some work. If you use a stock that's fine, but taking a bg is techinically stealing.

its just as much stealing if u take a stock if take a bg...its just stocks r usually copyrighted so its worse to take stocks....

But people take stocks all the time, I mean the thing your sig would be techinically stealing then wouldn't it? I mean people get the stocks from anime and manga so basically the stocks can be used by anyone.

anime and manga released to the public CAN be used but you must not STATE THAT YOU MADE THE STOCK. You can go " I colored it Kube taite drew it" and thats okey.

Dont see what the big arguement is about. Stock doesnt fit the bg at ALL!

Only the red blends well. Its a mess if you ask me.

Aiolas must watch the killer-chi.....and watch what you do next time in case you get clawed!

some (hopefully) helpful suggestions - when using stock, USE them. as in not slap them onto a pre-done bg and add stuff to it, add a little contrast etc. you need to actually work it. blend, paint over it, use brushes, add layers, use lighting....build it up. but then again, this is prob not very helpful since i'm sure you already know this......

i think you should also try drawing your own stuff. occasionally do a piece of your own - that way, you understand the difficulty and really appreciate the hard work a mangaka goes through......

my theori is: if you dont earn any money or take all the credit for yourself then its ok, if the artist who made the brushes, wallp., stock, ect. dind want people to use it then they would never expose it to the net so easely ;)

besides, i do this for my own fun and cause i enjoy it (sortha like a small hobby) but i'm more of a hardcore gamer and anime fan since i was a kid anyway ;P

btw: dont try to convince me otherwise, i'm very stubborn on that point so its no use xP

as for the logo i made, i made it to my own style and i appreciate your opinions though i noticed that you all have different tastes and ideas... dont get the wrong idea here, i dont wish to advance with grfx @ all (no offence, but i dont wonna become a nerd ;P*)

i like the way i am now and i have a lot of people who love it too (besides most of the pro's out there) but thx for all of your ideas, i wanted to just have a idea thats all ^^

People expose stuff to the net, but they mind when you steal their sigs/bgs you made. Stocks brushes and stuff are fine, but stealing the whole sig /bg is bad. Really ripping anyone's sig at all is bad. Not so much with stock and brushes and stuff, but more with the bg /whole sig as I said.

i agree with that, even though i dind steal the hole thing and never do ;) (i only use pieces from bg, brushes and stocks from anime and games)
