Do a google search for giant squids in Japan.

A Japanese research team found, tracked and photographed the first LIVE giant squid in history. It measured 26 FEET IN LENGTH.

Gojira has some competition...

I was ecstatic when I heard about this. I'm gonna major in Marine Biology in college, which starts next year, so this is good. I'm happy.

do you guys think it is natural or mutation in genes that made it so big???

I think its a natural occurence. Many dead Giant Squids are actually larger than this. Either was though, that's a lot of squid. Imagine if we start harvesting them. No more squid shortage.

(XX=whatever nationality) This is to justifiy my igonorance of not learning that person's language or understanding while working in retail.

Id really think it'd be really cool to see the squid or at least get a video feed of it.

They haven't released the video yet, but they've released some pictures. They aren't the best, but they are good. Here's one picture. A combination of clever baiting and luck. They way they were able to confirm that it was a giant squid is that the squid attacked the bait and got its tentacle caught. After that, the tentacle got pulled off because the squid struggled too much. So they did DNA tests on the tentacle and compared it to DNA of dead giant squids and found that they were the same.
