wanna get smarter? hit your head on something. Tell someone to toss something at your head, crash it against a wall, fall down on your head from somewhere. Trust me, it's fool proof you'll definitly get smarter. But the side affect is memory storage space loss, bleeding, that kinda stuff. But i can guarantee your iq improving. My niece has been dropped on her head a lotta times, thanks to that she's adapted to things a LOT faster than a normal rate kid. Same for me, people toss things at me, i fall down often and my sister keep on smacking me, thnx for that i'm one of the brightest kid in my school. Too bad i'm too lazy and quite a troublemaker. If i was just a little more hardworking, i'd be one of the top ten students in the whole school <_<

Nah, she's got the right idea. Except don't do it with just anything. Hit yourself with a book. You'll learn through diffusion. :D

some of the things are true, by hitting your head, you kill brain cells. if brain cells die, usually the older ones would die first. thus newer information that you learned will be retained longer and better. i, myself, do not use those methods. i use a combination of listening in class/taking notes and procrastination. i swear this works really well (for ppl w/ photographic or near-photographic memory).
what you do: listen in class and write everything down that's on the board. comcentrate while doing this so you remember yourself doing these things. this will allow you to store your movements and an image of what was on your paper, in your head. now lets say you have a report due in 5 days (no experiments or anything, just something that can be done in 1 shot) on the day before its due, concentrate on what you remembered from class. the pressure of the situation (the deadline) will allow you to remember things that you cant normally remember. with the knowledge you just got back, do some research on your topic and concentrate while doing this (this will add to that stored knowledge and make it available better). this will let you hold the information you need to write the report longer so you can do a good job on your project instead of giving in something thats barely passing.
i have used this method all my life and it works pretty well. if i cant remember a particular fact, like a formula by heart, then i try to think of the image in the textbook/notes that had the formula on it. most of the time you will get a result. other times you will get a partial result, like some parts will be missing, but they will come to you as you near the deadline.
more pressure= brain works harder= use a higher percentage of your brain than you usually do, but still less than the maximum humans can achieve (either 3% or 5%). using this technique saved me from ruining my average countless times and I got excellent grades on all of those papers/projects. anotehr nifty function of this method is that your brain gets a semi-archive function. you will unconciously store information, but are unable to access it unless the situation calls for it. if you need to get the info, just do the concentration/visualization thing.
very complicated, i know. sorry for the essay. just got lost in my thoughts.

i always fall asleep taking notes, heck i fall asleep in every class. Terra Nova is a test that you take at the beginning of the year for Elementary to Middle schoolers to test what you already know and dont know so the teachers can teach you right
