I found this anime/manga after reading a review in Newtype USA, and I must say became obsessed almost instantly. It has an interesting story, and crisp animation. The characters are unique....yea thats about the only word I can use. It is a smooth combination of hilarity and action and I highly reccomend it for any who have not heard of it. This was recently liscensed anime and manga both, but I would suggest the japanese version for special......reasons.

We'll see how much you like it when you reach the 'flashback arc'

That arc totally killed the anime. The main character 'Nagi' killed it too, a tough guy looks and talks like that? I hated him. Matsaka(spelling?) would have been a way better main character. Tenjo Tenge had alot of potential too. =(

i love the manga and I liked the Flashback Arc in the manga. And the arc with "F" was really good to. Nagi's became my favorite character after he started his training with the elders of the 12 feathers family.

they should've just kept rolling & made more extensions with the flashbacks & forget about the main story, really once they returned to the story & the ending 2 ova episodes just went downhill & yeh like bleach x said, it had alot of potential

btw, i think the correct name is tenjho tenge

Well for those who say they wanted more from the series, read the manga. And as for the flashback that took 10 episodes possibly more, I don't really mind, how are you supposed to understand the Maya's reasons if you don't know about her past? However it would have been wise to have the flashbacks span across the series.

They made a movie called TT: Past Chapters, basically covering all the Flashback arc+More in the anime =/, and Tried to make it cooler.

It wasn't BAD, The OVA sparked it up again, but.. I'm waiting for it to continue to further judge if the wait was worth it or not.

Is the thing ever gonna have sequels to it? I've d/led all the 24 episodes + 2 ovas and watched them over the past 3 days. I can't help but feel that it was sometimes boring and always wondered if I was better off reading the manga (I don't like reading =S).

i hated how it never ended - we never got to see these so called finals or whatever they where - how did the manga finish? or is it still ongoing?

i liked it - i even liked the flash backs [infact i think i prefered them] - ep 12 has to be my favourite - my fav character is the old guy that can never be bothered to do anything - the one that beats up shin [think thats his name - mayu's brother]

and belach x is right too - nagi killed it - i liked the first couple of eps when we all thought matsaka was the main character - and bob.... well he was just a ledgend :D

[hope spellings are right]

Bleh, I liked the manga much more than the anime. Much more dramatic, much more blood, etc.

Althrough I only watched the first few eps, then quit because it was a horrible representation of the manga....

The 'old guy' (who's liek 19 or something o.O;; ) Is Bunshichi Tawara. I'm not really that big of a fan of him. He doesn't really know any specific fighting styles, but he's 2nd or 3rd strongest in the school. >_<;;

The flashback arc isn't nearly as long as it is in the anime, and after that, it gets very interesting. Nagi actually becomes likable when he begins his training.

I'm not even going to bother with the dubbed anime.

And BTW, were does the anime series cut off? There's no way they compressed the entire manga into those 24-26 eps...

Of course not, that's why I was wondering if the sequels were gonna come out. The last episode stopped at the part where Nagi fought Mitsuomi at night in the Jyuukenbou practice room... it still has a long long way to go still~~~

Yes, Bunshichi is by far one of my favorite chars. :D

I think they'll finish the anime around the end of this year or next year.. b/c the OVA and Movie came out this year.

i don't like how the anime ended. And i'm yet to catch up to the manga. But it was great for what showed. Mitsoumi and shin were hot <3

i liked how the little bit of anime time we got out of this series. I really want to catch up with the manga though. The anime really got me interested.
