Soul Destruction: There's been something bothering me for a little while now, Shinigami use a Zanpakutou to cleanse the sin on a Hollow's soul and (usually) send it to Soul Society. The Quincy were killed off because they destroyed the souls, and given time, that would upset the balance. But don't Hollows destroy the souls of people they consume? And wouldn't that mean defeating them in any way other than the Zanpakutou destroying their head, destroys the soul? So Ishida, Chad, and Orihime, along with Urahara's gang, destroy the souls? Or do the funky techniques and weapons somehow cleanse the soul? I don't see this happening with Chad or Orihime, but maybe Urahara's people can.

Urahara's gang: Jinta and Ururu are playing Janken, first Ururu loses, then there's a "look over there" statement from Jinta, but Ururu doesn't move her head. Then Ururu wins, and her "look over there" has Jinta craning his neck and back to look up. Can anyone tell me what the hell they are doing? Because Ururu then goes on to say that Jinta lost 14 times in a row. They're strange enough, but we know so little about them, it's impossible to figure out anything with certainty. Who knows what they are capable of with their bat and cannon. Other than being featured in that great chapter 88.5, "Karakura Super Heroes".

A bit later Tessai makes some reference to it being over 200 years since he's heard Quincy mentioned. So Tessai's at least 200 years old, probably a good bit older. Is he another Shinigami? Probably not, he doesn't have a soul cutter, or at least one that we've seen. His abilities include the binding techniques he used on Ichigo in the training to reacquire Shinigami abilities, and the martial arts he used on Hollows.

Kon: He's been taking care of Ichigo's body, but what has he actually been doing? He hasn't been featured in any of the after chapter sketches, but I don't think he went back to Ichigo's house.

Soul Society Aging and Timeline: In another thread people mention aging in Soul Society. We know that some of them were children, but I can't quite figure out in my head when certain flashbacks and special chapter 17 took place. (Bleach7.com's biography for Rukia said she was adopted 40 years ago.) Hitsugaya wasn't interested in being a Shinigami in chapter 17, and since that was more than 40 years ago (Rukia's still poor and she and Renji are just starting in the academy.), he hasn't gotten a whole lot older, maybe 2-4 years appearance wise. But we can't tell when it was from that bit of skyline that they show of the living world(power/telephone lines are shown.), for some reason it looks like less than 40 years. We know that Rukia is in excess of 150 years from the first chapter, although a comment like that is a bit suspect from how vague it is. And what's SS's currency?

i dont know about ruhurra's funky weapons but i know that a quincy's bow destropys the soul 'cuz they said that in the chapter when they were explain what quincy are that they disagreed with the shinigami on whether or not hollows should be saved and 'cuz they wanted to destroy hollows they were all killed.

While I think Tessai could very well be a former shinigami that followed Uruhara out of SS, he could just as well be a spiritually powerful human that Urahara trained in the use of Demon Arts. Ururu and Jinta were both probably picked up by Urahara and trained as well. The bat and gun the kids use are probably weapons created by our resident exile.

No clue as to what Kon has been up to. I imagine that he has been taking care of Ichigo's body, perhaps hitting on random women when the mood strikes him. I doubt he is back at Ichigo's home since he made a big deal of telling his dad that he would be going away for a while. What would be the point of telling him that if he were just going to have Kon fill in for him? Besides, for that long, Kon wouldn't be able to fool Ichigo's sisters.

In terms of soul destruction, Ishida does in face destroy the hollows he attacks. Ichigo sends them to SS with his soul cutter. I don't know about Chad or Orihime's power, though.

Well here are my thoughts, we definately know that ishida destroys the souls and since orihime and chad just developed their powers in their first and only hollow encounter; even if they could clense the hollows with their abilities, they would not know how too. So the hollows that Chad and orhime destroyed during the feeding frenzy, were most likely destroyed, but its only a few dozens of evil souls which were most likely bound for hell anyways so it doesnt matter. The soul funeral will probally be taught to them after they return from the long soul society arc for now just sit back.

Janken: have you never told anyone "look over there" and cheated? I would answer the tessai thing but im no good with names so i cnat help you.

Kon: Isnt it obvious what Kon is doing; hes been locked up for years, and hes most likely look for some action. So its most likely that hes getting down with tatsuki or at some where fun. What would you do after being released from a box and before that nearly getting destroy. Kon is going to joy ride ichi's body until the soul society arc is over.

Aging: That is something that happens in the human realm inside their original bodies. After they die their soul stays in that form of which they had died; though years do pass by, they no longer feel the affects of aging.

I loathe to see what Ichigo would do to Kon if that were what the mod soul were doing with his body. To say the least, there would be much stuffed lion torturing. But an interesting question that popped into my head was what happens if a mod soul inhabits a living body for too long? Will they still be able to kick kon out of Ichigo's body easily enough without any harm to body or soul?

People actually do age in SS...though it seems to be more of a choice thing than anything. Rukia and Renji both were shown as young kids who grew up to their current age appearance and stayed that way for quite a while. Hitsugaya has had the same child like appearance for close to fifty years with barely any chance at all. If nothing else, people can change their appearance I imagine, making themselves look a certain age if they so desire.

Well i dont think kon will have a problem leaving the body because kon never had a physical form himself. And because the pill is a ghost object it has not physical form to be dissolved, another reason kon wont have problems is the fact that he was built to replace the dead and work as soldiers. Because of this, he was made to stay long periods of time with little care for its host: it probally doesnt connect enough with the host enough to complete take all the senses. Working off that idea, that is the reason why mods have stronger parts then the average human, so it can make up for its flawed control. On the contrast however, the reason why they had problems with rukia is because her enhabitent was a gigai: a mere invention to temporaly host the form of the shingami. It had no life before so it probally imediately tries to connect with its possesor. To keep the sense sharp though requires constant growing connection with the soul, and because of this it becomes harder for a soul to leave a gagai every second its in the form.

this probally makes no sense

Couldn't resist digging this up. Its not cheating. Its a variation of Janken, played in many asian countries. The gameplay is similar to Janken - same rock paper scissors thing.

The winner of the RPS 'duel' will now get to point in one direction, up down left or right, while the loser will look to one of these directions. If the direction pointed and the direction faced corresponds, the pointer wins the round. If not, a new round begins.
