This thread is open to ANYONE to vote in! Just passin' by? Well, take a moment and vote!

Get to work!

Voting for this contest will be done in 'Open Voting' style on a point system ranging from 3 points for your favorite, 2 points for your choice runner up, and 1 point for your next choice after that.

Example of proper voting -

3 Points to _____ : The stock really flows through this piece and the colors are vibrant and eye catching.

2 Points to _____ : I really like the way the background stands out while blending with the focal point. However, I didn't like the text or its placement.

1 Point to ______ : Fantastic effort in this one but I think you went overboard with the effects. Try to simplify it next time.

Some variant of this is correct and acceptable. You don't have to write an essay but a reason for you voting is required.

Example of poor voting -

3 Points to _____ : It's alright! Also, you're really popular or something so I'm voting for you!!! Be my friend!!!

2 Points to _____ : Nice.

1 Point to ______ : Sucks less than the other submissions.

Don't do this. Its ridiculous.
Also, don't vote for yourself. D:

Kudos to Fuzakeru for setting this up last year ^___^

The theme for the week was Halloween.

3 points to Sing: Very nice! I love the pop-out, and I don't think that this sig was over-exaggerated in any way. Some sigs pwn, but sometimes a graphic designer needs to know when to stop with the brush effects and etc. Plus, Jack Skellington!

2 points to Sene: I didn't know you could make sigs o.o Very nice. I liked how you put the pumpkin in the moon, and the overall sig is spooky with the fog and whatnot. Great job! You have anymore of these? o.o

1 point to hiren: I'm noticing a new style to your sigs. I can say that they're an improvement, definitely. Great job on Sev's and Seraph's new sigs too. What can I say? The stock blends in well with the background. Honestly, I could say that this could have been better. A few pumpkins is sort of too cliche for me.

I'm not sure how this will work with only 3 but... LET'S DO THIS

3 points to Sing: I really like the background on this sig. The different shades of orange and the black makes gives it an awesome Halloween feel to it. I also like how the popout... pops out (?) at two different places. Plus you get the sheer points because it of the whole NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS.

1 point to Sene: For a beginning sig it's pretty good. I like the concept, but at times it seemed like you tried to do too much in one banner. A few tips to make it more spiffy:

1) I would work on blending things together a bit more. I see that you did it to an exent in the fog, but a little bit more would be nice. Try using different brushes and layer masks to hide and accenuate parts of the banner.

2) Transparency! It's always nice to play around with it when making a banner, but you have to be sneaky about it. You have to make sure that it's layered on something that either adds a texture or another element to it. Ninja skills with transperacy.

3) Lighting. Play around with different lighting styles in a banner. Make some parts a bit darker or lighter than the surrounding area. What i usually do is lighten the main part of the stock while darkening the background, causing it to popout more...

It seems that I've become a bit lecturey @____@ *shuts up*

Hiren - 3 points
In my opinion this sig has the nicest effects in there ^_^ it's not too saturated (colours are still a little on the bright side) and the render used is a bit too light-hearted for the general look of the sig, but it still looks nice. It has that typical 'hiren' look (with the rune-writing in the background). I'll give ya the 3 points =P

I'm afraid I felt your render and background didn't mix very well. I know it's hard to do when your render goes OFF the sig itself, but they definitely seemed like two separate things. On the other hand, it was a good quality pic which was very smoothly rendered, and the background has some nice effects! As such you be second D=

Is that your first attempt? ._. Seriously? Mine sucked XD So bad. My early sigs were terrible, I don't even know why I uploaded them to my photobucket in the first place ._. You should be proud of yours, and you can only go up from here. Having said that, I'm afraid the others had nicer effects. I'm sure that just comes from their experience. You'll get better with time!

Sorry to be critical ._. But it's always good to get constructive criticism for future improvements.
