Zakki is a bit of a moody, melancholy soul with a deep sense of loss and depression. He's someone who contemplates his actions and tends to dissect his reasons for doing anything before and after the fact. He is constantly afraid that he will lose his mind because of the strange perceptions he has. He is also a lover of all things beautiful and fragile and will fiercely protect the vulnerable, even at his own risk. His dark side makes him try to push people away but ultimately, he will come around. Zakki is initially unapproachable and his attitude can be interpreted as standoffish but he’s really just shy. Once someone cracks his reserved shell, they will be rewarded with faithful, true friendship. Even with his best friends, he will sometimes snap or turn cold when he is nervous or someone has said something hurtful to him.


Physical Stature:

Zakki is a tall and sharply thin young man. He's 6'1' and weighs 145 lbs. His face is timeless and a bit on the androgynous side with piercing chartreuse coloured eyes. He has an angular face with high cheekbones and full dark ruby lips set against his alabaster skin. He has shaggy dark hair that falls in a curtain across his face and he often dyes differently colored streaks into his hair, red and silver being his favourites. His body is razor thin and he is wiry and lithe rather than powerful. He dresses in very simple black garments that fit tightly to his body and sometimes wears a long , hooded cape in cold weather. He has both ears pierced with two simple, small studs and wears silver bracelets that go up his forearms. He has one large tattoo in the centre of his chest, it depicts a swirling vortex like a galaxy. He also has a jagged scar on his right shoulder blade, sustained during a fight. The scar is a reminder of his desire to protect others.


Biography:

Zakki was born in Okinawa on the grounds of an ancient temple. His father was once a Zen monk but renounced the religious orders and married Zakki’s mother who was a Finnish jewelry designer and artist. His parents were kind to him but not exactly loving and he was a lonely, only child. As he grew up, he started to notice another world flickering around the edges of his own. There was nothing clear about it but he kept feeling watched and followed. These dark feelings plagued him and only increased his sense of alienation. His parents couldn't understand why he was so withdrawn and friendless. They only reacted by alienating him further with their questions and anger at his lack of friends.

As he got older, he realized that the odd perceptions and feelings were not going away. This only deepened his depression and made him feel even less like the rest of the world. His parents grew further apart, angry and resentful of each other. Ultimately they got divorced and this forced Zakki to leave, unhappy and disillusioned. He ran away to Tokyo and now he wanders the streets, trying to find answers to the questions that plague him. The streets are where he sustained the scar on his shoulder blade, trying to protect a vulnerable friend in a fight.

Persona: Yusuke is a lost soul who still harbours the hope of the young in his heart. He has been kicked around a great deal in his young life but he never entirely gives up. He has a natural resilience and a sense of irrepressible curiosity. When he's down and out, Yusuke gets over it quickly. He never stays down for long. But the recent eviction to the streets has been hard on Yusuke. His father's sudden change of mood and rejection of Yusuke have made him a bit more sensitive and nervous than usual. However, he still smiles at the world and sees the bright side more often than not. Lately he's been facing challenges because of his experiences of kidnap at the hands of the demented Emily (now deceased). He feels torn between his friendship for Zakki and the things he was told by Emily about him which may or may not have been true.

Physical Stature: A slight Japanese boy with short dark hair, smiling dark brown eyes and a plump face, Yusuke stands about 5'4" and weighs 115 lbs. He is wearing a tattered Japanese school uniform with black pants, a black jacket and a button-up tee shirt and carries a small backpack, that was all he had when his father threw him out. Yusuke has a scar on his face where a baseball hit him when he was 10.

Biography: Much of Yusuke's story is contained within the larger thread of Zakki's tale but there are a few elements to add. The world was turned upside down for Yusuke when his father was laid off. The fallout of his father's dismay at his job loss and Yusuke's grades which were lower than they should be resulted in him being tossed to the streets. Through a combination of spunkiness and luck, Yusuke avoided the worst of what he may have suffered. When Zakki found him, he had nearly been pushed into a very unpleasant fate. Now he travels with his older friend through the alleys of Tokyo.

Persona: Richard is a gentle young man. He is erudite and well-educated. Despite a upper-class British upbringing he isn't at all reserved or emotionally distant. He tries to share his warmth with everyone around him. Richard is a passionate lover of the arts. He is a talented writer. He has parlayed this into a love of teaching others to appreciate words. There is a deep sense of loneliness behind all of Richard's actions. He is afraid of being left behind. This combination of warmth and loneliness has lead Richard to feelings of intense shyness.

Physical Stature: Richard's most notable characteristic is his blazing red hair which he wears in a slightly shaggy style. His eyes are also striking with a colour like the stormy seas. He stands 5'9" tall and weighs 140 lbs. He's got a slight build with one small tattoo on his upper arm depicting a stylized sun. The clothing Richard wears treads the line between indie geek and tweedy British professor.

Name: Furemawari No Ginga MEGA

Form: When Zakki’s release is active his body becomes transparent and glows with starry points of light. His chest tattoo is the point from which the energy emanates to envelop his entire body in a cloak.

Ability (Defensive): Zakki pays five percent of his total reiatsu to create a distortion around his body that renders his entire body transparent.

Ability (Offensive): For ten percent of his total reiatsu Zakki can create a cluster of dart-like shapes made of pure radiant energy that travel within a thirty foot radius to strike a target. The energy darts do the same damage as his initial release by continuing to burn after initial contact at 100 reiatsu per turn up to five turns before repayment.

Ability (Defensive): Zakki will pay eight percent of his total reiatsu to solidify the galaxy itself to form a concave barrier of transparent, shimmering energy that defends a five square foot perimeter.
