Babbo's been playing since a bit before Tempest came out...

yeah played since tempest with babbo...had to split teh costs cuz im always broke...same for warhammer etc. ...

teh new block is really weird at first when it came out i thought it ws just going to be fun but tehn ppl started putting kokush in tooth and nail decks and doing scary stuff so it looks liek it can actually compete somewhat with mirrodin block...betrayers is still a bit of a dissapoint ment tho'...kinda makes drafting less fun cuz the third pack is almost always a dissapointment as compared to when u got three packs of CHK... still its a lot more fun to draft than mirrodin cuz with all the artifacts u didnt have to focus too much on ur colors and it was kinda annoying like that..

ya i think the most powerful deck so far probably has been ravager-affinity with skullclamps...even though they banned skullclamps.=(. but so far i think from champions is probaby zubera-honden because they can be very powerful (i made one) =)

Wow, I haven't even heard of anyone playing magic since I was in middle school... that was a very long time ago. I've probably got a couple hundred cards lying around somewhere at my house... and at the time I played a couple of them were pretty rare. They must be like 8 or 9 years old. ahahah can you even use cards that old anymore?

and then the ravager and the artifact lands got banned too...

I'm going home for spring break tomorrow. If i can find them they are yours if you really want them and if shipping is cheap (and I think it should be I've sent packages heavier then what they would be for pretty cheap.)

honden? r u serious? maybe in a draft zubera can be strong but the decks (altho' less so with betrayers replacing the third packthat r goign tot ake over in type II now r probably going to be red deck wins and stuff like that...

Kinda disspointed about ravager getting banned...i havent been able to play with them cuz my parents took my cards til i get a 3.0 ...ive got three ravagers and theyre justs sitting somewhere...its really annoying...hell i had an atog deck b4 ravager became popular that worked pretty well...it was fun...still dont get why they had to ban all the artifact lands...

and skullclamp was soooo much fun...i immediately traded for those and teh ravager when darksteel came out that and pristine angell...almost made the U/W control deck w/that... i got a ravager and 2 skullclamps off my friend for a panoptic mirror...that was great :D

are you serious? omg thats crazy. anyways ya honden are pretty effective but you need like mirror gallery to make it huge. cuz then you can play as many as you want. but in any good spirit deck, just put in like devouring greeds cuz those are the best. my friend made a colossus deck consisting of many darksteel things (i.e. darksteel brute) and other artifacts that can turn into creatures. then you have like 4 darksteel colossi, like 2 tooth and nail, and that one staff that you pay 3 and move a creature to the bottom of your library and take cards till you find a creature, then play it. i forget what thats called but its a very effective deck

teferi
03-10-2005, 11:15 PM
why not just play regular tooth and nail? what do u need to move teh cretures from ur graveyard for tooth and nail entwined just gets them for u anyways and with for and cards like reap and sow to get out cloudposts or urzas lands its pretty easy..

What I really want to see is an effective white weenie deck cuz none that i know of have made it to any top 8's in grand prixs and the only one i know of thats done good was aone that made 2nd in states...with the lack of ravager its a step closer to being viable as that was one of the main concerns was it had like a 20% win against ravager...

oh yeah do u know about www.ccgdecks.com? its a pretty good site w/ a magic forum and it has a java based draft generator...its pretty cool...i was practicising drafting betrayers about 3 weeks before it came out...ive pretty much got it down now...my favorite deck to draft right now is R/B beatdown...mostly cuz of teh demons...

Got home tonight. I searched for the magic cards where I thought they were going to be but they weren't there. So sorry I got your hopes up. I'm home all week so if i'm feeling ambitious I may do a bit more hunting but I'm afraid they may be gone.

There is a big group of people in the school library in the morning that play it, and I watch sometimes, but it was never really my game. I liked things like Yu-Gi-Oh! that had an anime behind them. (yah, kinda dorky, but it was fun at them time! ^^)

Well for the most part I play Yu-gi-oh, however I've been getting tired of seeing everyone run those cookie-cutter chaos decks.

So, I've decided to try out MTG once I get the money for it.

lol keep trying. for ninjas.....when an unblocked creatures goes and u use ninjutsu, does the creature deal damage first or do you switch out and the ninja will deal damage?

I still need tot est out my fox deck. My brother plays Orochi and he seemed to get all the cards for his deck, about half lands and half creatures, with some legendary creature searchers.

monk3
03-25-2005, 12:46 PM
that sounds like a pretty effective deck

ichigo123
03-25-2005, 12:48 PM
not only that when he attacks with the Orichi he first makes sure to tap all of your creatures then hit you head on, and he plays Sheshiro 2 or 3rd turn.

back from the depths of inexistance.

well Seshiro is a card that pwns in any snake deck. what you want is also the son and daughter of Seshiro. those two are powerful.

Only played 2 matches my entire life, and that was because a friend of mine who works for the company invited me along to one of their tournaments.

I do however like to read the cards and see the art and the creations they make. If it all ever makes it to computer (I saw a computer version, but I wasn't sold) with good graphics, engagement and ease of play (along the lines of final fantasy X), then maybe I'll get the computer version :p .

there's the interatcive encyclopedia...the new one...not the old one...you can download the new sets and stuff and play people online or on a lan...better than having to pay for them on magic online...and the games not that hard to pick up...it normall takes at most about a week to pick it up...it's best if you find someone who knows what they're doing, like the people (if your in hgih school) who play at school, there generally aren't a whole lot of them, so they're gnerally pertty helpful cause an another player is always welcome...otherwise check out card shops during the weekdends, some of them give tutorials or teach you how to play...if you do ever start, don't just buy a handful of cards, build a real deck (as in be ready to spend a bit of money) cause it's really broing for other players who build a real deck to play against a bucnh of random cards....

heres a link to my school page http://www.starkstate.edu

Most of our clubs at the school are not afiliated with the school but they give us a room that we can rent out for however long as we want. Its a huge room on the second floor of the student center. Hey also check out the virtural tour.

I played it using my cousin's deck. Without actually knowing the rules, I actually won. Haha..well, the guys in my class are so obessed with it. Some places in Singapore actually held matches and some people gather to trade their cards. It is a hot trend! I think now it died down, well I'm not too sure about it.

Oh, I suddenly remembered something. My friend had Black Lotus, I think it's the most valuable card. Well, he left it on the table, his little brother took it, went toilet and opps, it dropped inside. My friend was super depressed back then.
