Dear friends of BF.com,
Where to start...it's been a while. For those of you who remember me (I don't know who's here and who's not anymore), I'm just dropping by to say hi and see how everyone's doing. For those of you who have no idea who I am or don't give a ****, spare yourself the reading and click away now;)
Clearly my BF.com days are over and I've retired, but I feel I owe you guys an apology for my rather sudden and unexplained departure. I should of said my goodbyes to everyone before going but I always fooled myself into thinking that I would be back in a few days. I've been going through a..challenging phase of my life, and I've been the victim of quite a few interesting twists and turns (and no, this phase wasn't puberty) that I've struggled to maintain direction through. I won't go into too much detail, and in fact I'll go into so little detail that I'll leave it at that. Anyway in the past few months things have taken a turn for the better and everything is starting to look up. In fact, I've never been as happy with my life as I am now. Once again, I'll spare you the details. So joy to the world, whoop dee doo - moving on.
All my memories from BF.com are shining ones - this place doesn't only discuss one of the best animes I've ever watched, but the community here is stelllar. It's not just an internet discussion forum, it's a family. The atmosphere here is nothing short of amazing, and the people you meet and friendships you form are some of the most honest and generous ones you can find on the internet. In short, this is a great place. I still remember things like the Mystery Solving Competition, the Bleach Forums Band, the abortion thread that never died, and let's not leave out Babbo's miscellaneous antics. It was a privilege to be a part of everything here, and we should all be proud to be a part of what we have here.
The funny thing about meeting people on the internet is - to be frank - you have no idea wtf is going on with them at any given time or who the hell they really are. It's not uncommon for people to just one day randomly disappear off the map without a trace FOREVER. It can be disturbing sometimes, especially if you have gotten to know the person well. Think of it this way - a RL friend that you talk to on the phone every day, see every day, just randomly disappearing one day without a trace. You go around asking people where s/he went, but it's like noone ever knew them in the first place. Welcome to the internet.
So I'm not sure what the point of the previous paragraph was, but whatever. Anyway I'm going to go get some sleep - getting a tattoo tommorow. Tribal design between my shoulder blades. Should be interesting.. for those of you who want to keep in touch, you can email me at ho.t@ssent.org or check me out on Facebook (http://uottawa.facebook.com/p.php?id=121504239&l=c96f4fd1e6). So until next time, take care and have fun!
