yeah, it's used to teach typing...

It's also one of the phrases used in displaying fonts (go to C:\Windows\Fonts and open up a random Windows-bundled font). Presumably it's used for the same purpose in Microsoft Word - to test for widow/orphan control, making sure all the letters look pretty, that type of thing?

I remember there was an Easter egg in Excel 95... highlighting the 6666 row or something (?) then typing something else led to the computer going blank then a video clip of you walking on a bridge towards a door. Or something like that... I can't remember now, it was in an article trying to prove that Bill Gates was the devil (apparently William [middle name] Gates III in ASCII sums up to give 666).
