Yeah, all those are good animes to watch. But about the Genshiken, I can't seem to get it, no ones seeding. Atleast the one torrent that I got, if you now one the works send it my way.

Another good series, that's out is Hunter X Hunter. The first 2 ep are kinda slow, but it gets better.

eeek! HXH...not good...just read the manga...the only reason for watching the anime would be to see the sloppy chapters as what they should look like if togashi had actually put in some effort...

One Piece is a very good anime, but the manga is tons better. Eother way you should pick it up, but do not get the dub version get the sub version. The dub is horrible.

Orihime

Go get Rurouni Kenshin. It has samurai's in it so there's plenty of action!

Like Baka said, I'd suggest One Piece. But not the horrible dub 4Kid's did. Another one I like is School Rumble.

I highly recommend Gundam SEED Destiny. It's a running series now and they're only on about episode 14. :)

I suggest going over to our great Friend, Animesuki.com, and Downloading a Anime called Raimuiro Senkitan. It has a "Few" Panty Shots in it, err....Maybe a little bit more then "Few", but its a Great anime non the less, which they're coming out with a sequel to. It has 13 Episodes and a OVA. I'm sure you'll like it, Action, Drama, and Hilarious Comedy.

-samurai champloo-high paced action combining hip-hop and samurais*highly recommended for kool fighting scenes(the best so far)*
-Peacemaker Kurogane-shinsengumi period, nice animation and bloody battles, similar to kenshin, samurai X, and naruto combined.
-Samurai Deeper Kyo?

Samurai Champloo is good, but actually only have the series is licenced. Japan didn't like the first half enough so the show was canceled. Thats why the series ending at episode 17 was kinda sudden. As of last week (or the week before) the second half has begun to be relesed (18-26) I have a site, but at the moment I'm at school, so for all you champloo lovers, check back for the end of the series!

you gotta watch midori no hibi.... the story of a tough guy(who can't find a date) that wakes up to find his right hand replaced by a quiet girl that has a crush on him...... sounds weird but its hilarious. its only 12 or 13 eps. its funny, and sad, and beautiful.

same statement as the thread but for me - samurai champloo is almost over (so sad!), samurai 7 and fma are over....i'm only watching bleach now and i need other ones to watch. i like animes with a lot of action and no high school love stories
i've seen witch hunter robin, wolf's rain, samurai deeper kyo, getbackers, trigun, cowboy bebop and fullmetal panic
so any recommendations along the same lines of those?
frankly, i don't want to buy dvds (i have no income), i'd rather download them

thanks!

Let's see, you can try Jinki: Extend and Gundam Seed Destiny. Destiny just got licensed, but I'm sure Aone is still subbing it.

Wow, a lot of action anime presented here. If you're looking for something a bit more mellow, try out:

*Beck
*Great Teacher Onizuka
*Kareshi Kanojo no Jiyou (His and Her Circumstances)
*Paranoia Agent
*Planetes
*Requiem From the Darkness (100 Stories)
*Yakitate!! Japan

Otherwise, smoke out:

*Berserk
*Ghost in The Shell: Stand Alone Complex
*Ghost in The Shell: 2nd Gig
*Gungrave
*Noir
*RahXephon

I could go on and on, but I'd probably put you to sleep.

Ah, action it is then:

*Appleseed (very unique visuals)
*Armitage III: Dual-Matrix (to understand it, watch Poly-Matrix)
*Gunsmith Cats
*Hajime no Ippo (aka Fighting Spirit)
*Hellsing
*Hunter x Hunter
*Jin-Roh
*Last Exile
*Mobile Suit Victory Gundam
*Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam (THE BEST BY FAR, Wing and SEED have nothin')
*Outlaw Star
*Read or Die
*Record of Lodoss War (I'd go with the TV series)
*R.O.D. the T.V. (aka Read or Dream)
*Rurouni Kenshin (the Kyoto arc anyway)
*Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
*Vision of Escaflowne (Nice shoujo action)
*Witch Hunter Robin
*X

Hmm, that should be enough to get you started.

Ah I basically agree with Djudge's list for action, but I must disagree about the Gundam part. You have to watch the original Gundam, 0079, either the TV series or the 3 movie series. The best after that is probably 0083, Stardust Memories.

I would also recommend the Patlabor movies for more robot action. :)

is gundam one of those series where you have to watch it from the beginning to understand any of the other spin-offs?

and thanks djudge for taking the time to make the long list - can i find places to download these or are some of them only on dvd?

teferi
03-10-2005, 05:04 PM
most of those r on DVD im guessing... i still dont get what everyone like so much about witch hunter robin...its so boring...theres about 30 seconds of action on average per an epsidoe and the majority of the episode is talking and abunch of ppl doing nothing...gets so boring...

Not usually. But on Gundam Seed Destiny if you didn't see the last 10 episodes of Gundam Seed a few things might go over your head. But you won't be totally lost.

You can enjoy most gundam without having to watch the previous series. However, if you follow the timeline you will probably enjoy the series more

The following share the same universe:
Gundam 0079 (the 1 year war) TV series or 3 movies
Gundam 0080 War in a Pocket
Gundam 0083 Stardust Memories
Gundam Z
Gundam ZZ
Char's Counterattack
Gundam F91

loooong time after that
Turn A Gundam

djudge - i do remember seeing X - but it was the movie and it made me feel like i was on drugs. it was very bizarre and i didn't get it. is the series just as odd or is it better?

Djudge

X/1999 was a terrible movie, sorry CLAMP fans, but that was just as bad, if not worse than that pile of crap RG Veda.

Watch the X TV series, it does the story justice; with an exclamation point at that.
