Who thinks it's a good idea to make school uniforms mandatory?
My Vote:
Good Idea. :)

i have to use them for my school. but it's not that i don't like them. just, some days i whould rather put something i like on, insted of button up white shirts with blue/black pants. but they stopa lot of problems, IE ganster colors. and what now.
besides. some girls hate them. and some girls we all hate IN them.

that'd be a pain the ***...you'd have spend extra money buying and cleaning them..... and then since most normal people wouldn't want to stay in a school uniform all day long, you'd have to change into something else later....pain in the ***....

It would actually be cheaper wearing a uniform.

oh yea? well you can whear them out side of school. and what if your school tells you, you can't don blue or red? then what? because you have both red and blue items. there useless. and it's not much for them as i said before

Buying normal clothes for school is much more expensive than a uniform. You would need alot less clothes if you had a uniform for school.

yeah but you already have to buy clothes anyways so it's not more expensive since you have to do it anyways......

it's a bad idea... don't get me wrong... it is cheaper to have uniforms... but people want to stand out by the clothing they wear. What a crappy place to live in if we dont get the choice to diversify. On the other hand... japanese girls in their school uniforms are hot.

Well, I think uniforms are a bad idea. I mean, they are there in order to help with discipline. I guess elders still believe that just because people are'n't dressed casually they wo'n't misbehave. SORELY MISTAKEN!!!

i wouldnt want uniforums, i know it'd be cheaper, cuz you dont need to have as much other clothing, just some casual stuff, and u could just get a few shirts and all for the uniforum.... but it wouldnt make us all individuals.. so i woudlnt like it really.. but maybe if the clothing was atleast comfortable and didnt look horrible ( like those ugly skirts that go down past ur knees) O_o;; i wouldnt complain to much...
i duno..i just wouldnt choose to have them :s
there's good an bad points to it... just depends on ur preference

I'm not sure. I mean all the kids in my school all dress alike anyways. They all wear whatever is "in," so it wouldn't really make a difference. :/

I agree that they are good for avoiding certain problems..gang colours.. but the need to conform to the standard can cause some to rebel in other ways more forcibly... I kinda wished our school had them, because I think your clothes would last longer, and you would appreciate your normal stuff more.. not to mention some of the uniforms looked kinda neat.. that's just me though..
edit:
very good point miteigi..

My school has uniform, but the only thing the students obey is no jeans and shirts tucked in

Never been to a school that requires uniforms, but if wouldnt mind if they did. As long as they look cool then i wont mind wearing the same thing over every day.

well ur skool..i s wierd...
we have soo many different types of styles here. like people who only certain stuff, people who only wear black, etc.
so it would make a big difference if they forced us all to look alike...
mg...ur so perverted

i went to a highschool with uniforms and it really wasnt that bad, actually kinda nice.
blue white or burgandy polo shirts and kakhi, had to be tucked in and ties on thursdays for a chapel service

I had to wear uniforms in middle school and now high school. I agree, there good for preventing gang colors. But sometimes I just get tired of them...
